A very successful Livingstone squash court conversion with a cave and traverse wall elsewhere. A number of routes up the main featured wall can either be a short top-rope or a thrilling solo. What's the wall like?
The wall is primarily a bouldering wall, consisting of a 7 meters high moulded surface wall, with slabs, cracks, overhangs and aretes. There is also a 7 metre roof section including a large stalactite; a Bat Cave for bouldering, featuring a 'Woody Wave' roof. For keen trainers there is a balcony traverse, finger boards, a campus board and rope ladder.
A brief history
The wall is jointly owned by the PMC and it's members and it was originally opened by Sir Chris Bonnington in December '95. In 1998 the wall was extended to include a roof section and bouldering cave.

There are changing rooms, showers and licensed bar facilities for you to relax in after a strenuous climbing session.

There is no registration charge, and membership is FREE. Harnesses and belay devices can be hired for £2.00 (with a deposit).
Qualified instructors offer the following lessons at a cost of £25 each:- Introductory lesson aimed at turning the novice into an independent climber. Intermediate lesson aimed at turning the top-rope climber into a lead climber. Advanced lesson aimed at turning a competent climber into an instructor. We also offer Taster sessions at a cost of £10 adult & £7.50 child. Group bookings of 10+ receive 25% discount.
How to get there
The wall is situated at the Peterborough Town Sports Club near the Edith Cavell hospital. The hospital is signposted throughout the Peterborough area, and is located in Bretton, which is to the north of the town centre.
